Interim Communications Officer in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Recruiting for a Communications Officer to work for one of our Rail clients.
Role is initially for 3 months, based in Leeds.
Paying up to £195 per day.
Undertake proactive and reactive communications, marketing and engagement activity.
Implementing and delivering strategies and plans, taking a lead on all internal communications activities to ensure communications support meets its core objectives, including the management and enhancement of the organisation's reputation.
Working closely with the Team to strategically plan communications and stakeholder activity moving forwards.
Plan and deliver all communications for the re-introduction of Northern Rail timetables.
Plan communications and work with partners on December Northern Rail timetable changes
Attendance at meetings and working groups to provide all necessary communications and stakeholder management related support.
Creation of key lines to take for all associated communications and stakeholder management related activities.
Ensure the effective day to day delivery of all media management and stakeholder engagement activities, processes and plans.
Liaise with TOCs/DfT and industry on calls and all other communications and stakeholder engagement related activities.
Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience required at selection stage:
Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
Skills and Experience
Substantial experience of working in a multi-channel communications role.
Substantial experience of working with the media.
Experience of producing high quality content across multiple channels with the evidenced ability to translate complex issues into appropriate formats for target audiences.
Experience of devising and delivering communications campaigns to support key organisational priorities.
Knowledge of current communications methods and trends, including social media.
Experience of using software related to own area of specialism to extract, analyse and report on data.
Ability to communicate/present complex information concisely and to a non-technical audience.
Ability to communicate/present complex information concisely and to a non-technical audience.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Requires a technical specialist, with relevant sector experience, in a professional service area.
Manages/supervises a team engaged in complex tasks.
