Senior Engineering Consultants - Transit Infrastructure
EWI are searching for experienced engineering professionals to join a high-performing team supporting major public infrastructure initiatives. 1. Design Integration Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, with a focus on transit and industrial facility design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
- Strong understanding of design verification and validation, value engineering, and lifecycle cost optimisation.
- Experience on public sector infrastructure projects delivered via Progressive Design-Build, IPD, Alliance Contracting, or similar.
- Skilled in coordinating technical requirements across stakeholders and integrating them into specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
- Familiarity with green building standards (e.g. Toronto Green Standard) is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead design integration workshops, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality control of design deliverables
2. Train Control System Lead
Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in train control systems, including CBTC and ATC technologies.
- Expertise in electrical and traction power systems, signal design, and safety standards.
- Experience overseeing signal system implementation for rapid transit, including both vital and non-vital systems.
- Ability to provide technical support, review external designs, and coordinate risk mitigation and system integration.
- Involved in testing, start-up, and commissioning documentation and integration with existing systems.
3. Lead Track Designer/Engineer
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in track infrastructure design, including stations, yards, mainline, and special track work.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
- Working knowledge of CBTC/ATC signaling systems.
- Skilled in assessing impacts to track components, performing design calculations, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Experience leading and reviewing work of junior engineers and CADD personnel.
- Strong ability to produce and edit specifications, and coordinate across disciplines for cohesive design deliverables.
