Assistant Project Manager (Invasive Species Treatment)
Location: South Wales, Cardiff
Rate: £200 - £275 per day – PAYE only
Term: Contract initially, with the possibly to go permanent

They are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to manage a small team to deliver the chemical treatment of Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam invasive species, across the 88 route miles of the Cardiff Valleys Railway Network.
The Person:
- Degree Qualified in the relevant field
- Previous Project Management OR Site Agent Experience
- Rail experience desirable
- Self-motivating
- Client Interface, have a professional approach to progress reporting and report writing
- Thrive in a fast paced where volume of activity outweighs the technical duties
The Role:
· Liaison with local authority managers and EHOs- engaging with authorities and pressing them to enter into Joint Treatment Agreements
· Liaison with solicitors regarding claims for Japanese Knotweed
· Contract and Site Management of subcontractor works (2 subcontractor companies)
· Efficient management of data and information, recording exact locations and size of infestations and the chemicals that have been applied to each site
· Management of small team of 2-3 staff including Resource Planner and a Site Inspector
