RCS Project Engineer
Delivery of legacy signalling modifications for PLU.
The scope requires a signalling biased accredited or previously accredited LU Project engineer (requiring future assessment) in accordance with R0046. The candidate will need to be verse in London underground.
The scope will include (not limited to):
*Act as single point of contact for all Engineering topics in the respective RCS, with effective delegation and empowerment to act on behalf of the RCS SPE in the assigned RCS.
*Act as the 'controlling mind', with total geographic ownership, for the application design and implementation of all engineering systems within the assigned RCS, irrespective of whether the projects report into the SPE or not, and including representation at local and project-level Gates and Checkpoint reviews.
*Lead on technical integration of the respective projects through the design and site application engineering phases.
*Lead on issue resolution of multi-disciplinary or multi-project nature.
*Challenge discipline specific issues through the respective Discipline Engineers and escalate items as required to the RCS PPE and Lead Discipline Engineers.
*Author and/or manage the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering assurance products in compliance with S1538 and Pathway.
*Identify non compliances and author and/or manage the development concessions or alternative methods to delivery of assured engineering outcomes.
*Own and maintain the legacy signalling -level technical risk and issues register, holding periodic technical risk reviews with the Discipline Engineers.
*Support the programme in the delivery of its CDM obligations.
*Support the respective RCS PM and their teams and respective embedded Professional Services in the management of schedule, risk and cost, drawing upon the RCS-level technical risk and issues register.
*Own the resolution of quality issues with regards to engineering deliverables and support Construction in the management of site quality.
*Identify and lead the delivery of Value Engineering outcomes (design, process, resources, tools, etc.), seeking the support of the SPE and Lead Discipline Engineers.
