Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Stansted Airport (3 days per week on-site)
Duration: 1 year
Qualifications: Chartered Engineer (ICE), Civil and Mechanical Engineering, including structures

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to support the Project Manager in delivering multiple projects across design and on-site phases. Candidates with fit-out, civil, structural, or M&E experience in aviation or complex operational environments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project delivery from design to site execution.

• Manage contractor submissions and track design comment close-outs.

• Act as Project Manager's on-site representative.

• Monitor construction for compliance with safety, quality, and programme requirements.

• Review RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, CEMP, and contractor documentation.

• Advise on Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs).

Requirements

• Proven experience in fit-out, civil, structural, or M&E projects, ideally in aviation/transport.

• Strong design coordination and document control skills (e.g., Aconex).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

• Willingness to work on-site at Stansted Airport up to three days per week.

• Familiarity with heavy lifting, steel frame, bridges, groundworks, piling, or complex M&E, depending on project focus.
