We are curreently recruiting for an Assurance Manager to provide Technical Engineering Assurance support to a range of Rail Projects across the whole asset Lifecycle, including business strategy/planning and delivery of engineering solutions for project and operations.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading development of Assurance Specifications and Assurance Plans in conjunction with the Engineering and Project Management teams, to ensure that project requirements are fully met and evidenced. This includes definition of the assurance acceptance criteria for design and commissioning of works ensuring project works can safely be entered into operational service.
- Managing assurance activities for over 10+ diverse and concurrent running projects.
- Manage the Technical Assurance Gate process where applicable. Representing the Assurance team during audits.
- Managing designers and contractors to ensure the timely production quality standard of assurance evidence to feed into assurance cases in order to demonstrate that appropriate evidence is collated throughout the Pathway or GRIP stages in relation to key engineering disciplines. Developing relationships with suppliers and negotiating successful outcomes. Undertaking on-site risk-based monitoring and surveillance of works as required
- Integrating the assurance evidence in the form of System Assurance Cases to support documentation for commencement of Operational Service. Leading on presenting the technical assurance compliance argument to the Overground Assurance Board.
- Managing the Asset Management Plan process (for handover, handback/taking over, completion) of assured projects to the operator end users.
- Interfacing with the Requirements Manager on completion of verification and validation matrices to evidence compliance with contractual requirements.
Role Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience expected:
- Detailed working knowledge of London Overground business, safety management systems, obligations and priorities.
- Detailed working knowledge of Network Rail's GRIP and TfL's Pathway stages.
- Experience of Project and Technical Assurance in a railway project environment.
