This Quantity Surveyor opportunity will see you become involved in a complex, design and build project - with the scope involving exciting civil engineering packages and concepts.
Role:
- Provide advice and guidance to Managers on achieving value for money in running certain packages on civil engineering projects.
- Implement rigorous measurement and certification of subcontract works
- Ensure that the contractor have correctly valued the works to deliver contractual entitlement as well as delivering the necessary controls to provide accurate cost capture and reconciliation.
- Prepare comparisons of cost with value across all schemes, activities and value streams.
- Developing strategies to enhance performance and deliver best value to the client.
Skills:
- Degree qualification desired (MRICS accredited or equivalent)
- Experience working with NEC3 contracts
- Background in civil engineering, rail or infrastructure projects
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
