We are supporting a wet civils and marine contractor who have a secure pipeline of work in the Midlands through to at least 2028. They are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is ready to step up into a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor role.
In this role you will be wholly responsible for the entire life cycle of your own projects, typically worth between 100k - 1M. This means you'll get the chance to do 100% of what a Quantity Surveyor should be doing, not just small parts. So, in our opinion this is a great development position and youll really get to hone your craft.
You'll be joining a small commercial team, currently seven strong, and be closely mentored and coached by your Senior as well as the Commercial Director. On that note, he's a cracking guy who has been with the business for over 10 years. He joined them as a Quantity Surveyor, so this demonstrates the type of progression you could achieve with this business. You could be the next Commercial Director!
The most important skills needed for this role are enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn and develop and good communication. This projects will use the NEC form of contract; if you have experience with NEC then perfect, but if not then dont sweat it! Youll be trained and mentored every step of the way.

- An HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Demonstrable experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on civil construction projects with around 2 years of experience
