Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the robust commercial management of a variety of projets: including overseeing financial performance, managing costs, conducting procurement processes, and maintaining accurate financial logs and reports.
- you wil lead projects as the most senior commercial contact as well as lead and develop a small commercial team, ensuring thier performance
- build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery
- ensure compliance with contractual terms and achieving business plan both commitments
- monitor, analyse and reprot on the bill of quantities, specification and contractual implications of ongoing and new projects
Essential skills
- practical experience in quantity surveying role in a civil engineering environment, working for a main contractor in either Civil Engineering, Rail, Highways, Telecoms or Renewables
- NEC contracts experience is essential
- experiencing working on mulitiple and large projects simultaneously, be able to work independetly and manage a small team
Desired skills
- BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)
- Working towards professional membership of an appropriate organisation (for example, RICS/CIOB)
