As Project Engineer (Track) your primary role will be to support the construction teams by managing a team of technical staff in the delivery of key engineering aspects of a track project work with the Delivery Managers to tailor delivery plans that ensure key technical compliance is achieved. You will use your knowledge and experience to develop and mentor your team.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge of the Clients design and construction standards
• Extensive experience in planning and managing the technical/engineering aspects or track renewal / enhancement projects
• Extensive experience of carrying out conventional level and line surveys to the required standard
• Extensive experience of undertaking coordinate geometry surveys, setting up control networks and processing the data in preparation for detailed design.
• Experience of setting out for track renewal works
• Experience in delivering track engineering works on site (including tamping)
• Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
• Able to coach, influence and develop

Desirable Criteria:

• Proficient in the use of Microstation CAD software and Bentley Rail Track for track geometry designs
• Experience of undertaking gauging assessments using Clear Route
• Knowledge of track construction methods
• Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need
