You’ll be trusted to deliver high-quality, compliant designs, working closely with electrical and wider engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions.Key Responsibilities: ·Produce detailed SISS/Telecoms designs from concept through to "Approved for Construction" (AFC) status. ·Design a variety of station communication systems, including CCTV, Public Address (PA/VA), Customer Information Systems (CIS), and Help Points. ·Utilise Bentley MicroStation to create and develop design drawings, schematics, and layout plans. ·Coordinate with other disciplines, particularly electrical engineering, to ensure power requirements, cable routing, and containment are fully integrated. ·Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and risk assessments. ·Ensure all designs comply with relevant Network Rail standards and processes. Essential Skills &amp; Experience: ·Proven experience as a SISS / Telecoms Design Engineer within the UK rail sector. ·Essential proficiency with Bentley MicroStation is required. You must be able to produce designs using this software from day one. ·In-depth design knowledge of core SISS technologies (CCTV, CIS, PA, Help Points). ·A strong understanding of the GRIP lifecycle and Network Rail assurance processes. Fire Extinguisher PPM Engineer Summary Working under the direction of the Duty Manager or Team Leader, the Fire Extinguisher PPM Engineer, is responsible for carrying out servicing, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing on portable firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers and fire blankets, primarily across Transport for London (TfL) premises. The role involves maintaining asset records, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as BS5306, and advising management or clients on potential non-compliances and remedial actions. The incumbent may also assist in the design, testing, development, and installation of maintenance methods and products related to fire safety technology. This position requires adherence to quality, environmental, health and safety (QEHS) standards and company values, with a focus on delivering timely, customer-focused service while working both independently and collaboratively within a team.Please note the succcessful candidate will need a driving licence. You will be working on various central London train stations, so will need to be in Central London for a 6am start. Also night shifts will be available from 10apm to 6am. An advantage would be to have access to a small van, but not essnetial. Previous expericence servicing Fire extinguishers, is essential for this role.Rate - £200 per day umbrella - PAYE is a option.
