We’re actively looking for an experienced content manager to support the specification and procurement of a new Enterprise Content Management system within a major contraction project.
The successful applicant will be a technical expert in ECM .i.e. familiar with innovative and modern techniques and approaches.
You will have a good working knowledge of related dependencies/disciplines to be able to influence and direct the Enterprise on matters related to ECM over the life of the programme and through to Target State.
Following the procurement of the system, the ECM will support the system implementation, system configuration, process development and data population. The above will involve:
• Market analysis of ECM systems
• Development of procurement specification for the ECM system
• Supporting Digital Engineering, IT, and the system Vendor to implement the system and integrate with the companies CDE
• Development of the ECM meta data model in line with the Enterprise Architecture
Responsibilities
• Working within the Digital Engineering Team, in collaboration with IT to maintain and enhance existing products and services and introducing new products and services
• Supporting Digital Engineering colleagues to deliver a BIM asset information model and any digital engineering capability that is dependent on the use of un-structured data
• Supporting the General Counsel and Company Secretary Team on information governance and GDPR
• Informing the company strategy and output requirements with expert technical advice and industry leading practice for Enterprise Content Management.
• Driving Enterprise Content activities for the programme to enable the delivery of an integrated railway system and the achievement of the necessary safety and performance outcomes.
Experience Required
• Experience of engaging with stakeholders and translating business outcomes into requirements for ECM
• Knowledge of ECM best practice and how to deliver benefits and reduce risk
• knowledge commercially available ECM systems to support system evaluation and procurement
• Experience of developing meta data models to enable the storage and retrieval of enterprise content
• Experience of migrating from legacy systems to a new system
• Experience of developing processes and procedures for managing the document life-cycle and improving business efficiency
Skills Required
• Good interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders throughout the company and our Partner organisations
• Experience of setting up ECM systems in a complex engineering project environment
• Experience of setting up meta data models to enable storage and retrieval of content
Experience of tools and techniques to import content from other systems, applying the meta data of the receiving system to complete the data migration.
