M&E Construction Manager

Principal Contractor is delivering an expansion and refurbishment of Oxford Station. We are looking for an M&E Construction Manager to join on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

As a M&E Construction Manager (Rail), you'll be working within the Oxford Station team, supporting with the multi-discipline station upgrade which will increase the station capacity by constructing an additional platform and associated track through the existing operational station. Your role will be to manage the technical compliance of the Mechanical and Electrical installation of the project. To manage the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality.

Your day to day will include:

• MEP management from GRIP 4 – 8 design, construction, and handover phases.
• Management of the nominated Sub-contractor and package of works identified within the sub-contract.
• Oversee all MEP site activities and monitor progress against the programme, taking remedial action where appropriate, whilst always protecting Kiers contractual position
• Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards of quality are achieved and address any issues with the sub-contractors and trades.
• Monitoring construction works to ensure the safety of the railway is maintained and works are undertaken to the approved designs in accordance with HSE legislation and Network Rail Group Standards.

This role of M&E Construction Manager (Rail) is great for you if:

• Relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar business, preferably in a Network Rail or comparable setting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to work.
• Working as part of a team to deliver objective of the department and company.

Salary circa £65k + Package
