Site Logistics Manager - Metro - Philippines (local position)

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Site Logistics Manager to join a leading contractor on a major ongoing rail project in Manilla.

About the Role:

The Site Logistics Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics activities on-site, supporting both the construction and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) teams. The role is essential in ensuring that all site areas are efficiently utilized, safely accessed, and adequately supported with temporary infrastructure and facilities. The position requires close coordination with civil contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Coordination & Laydown Management

• Liaise with civil contractors and client representatives to plan and coordinate site laydown areas, including material storage, access roads, and equipment staging zones.
• Ensure efficient and safe use of site space, including segregation of working zones, pedestrian paths, and vehicle routes.
• Implement and maintain a site logistics plan reflecting current construction phases and upcoming T&C activities.
• Manage traffic flow and vehicle movement within project boundaries, especially in constrained or urban environments.

Temporary Works & Site Setup

• Oversee the establishment and maintenance of site offices, welfare facilities, and temporary utilities (water, power, communications) for construction and commissioning teams.
• Coordinate setup of satellite offices, storage containers, and other facilities near work fronts as required.
• Ensure temporary works comply with safety standards and project specifications.

Material Handling & Deliveries

• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for the timely delivery and staging of materials and equipment.
• Implement procedures for receiving, inspecting, and storing materials in accordance with site constraints and installation schedules.
• Monitor delivery schedules to minimize site congestion and disruption to ongoing works.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all logistics operations comply with project HSE policies, including safe access/egress, proper signage, and emergency routes.
• Support site safety teams during inspections and audits related to logistics and site conditions.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with:
  • Civil works contractors (for access and interface management)
  • Construction and T&C engineers (to prioritize logistics support)
  • Local authorities and traffic enforcers (if deliveries affect public roads)
  • Security and gate personnel (for vehicle and personnel access control)

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction logistics, preferably on large-scale infrastructure or metro rail projects.

Experience in managing urban construction logistics or underground/tunnel projects is an advantage.

Familiarity with site office and facility setup, materials staging, and traffic management.

Language:

English and Tagalog (preferably)

Salary Package:

The salary on offer for this position is flexible depending on years of experience.
