Planning Manager

Location: Blechley, Buckinghamshire

Job Summary

A leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector, is looking for an experienced Planning Manager with an engineering bias to join their team who will be working on a brand new multi million pound railway depot upgrade project based in Milton Keynes

To be suitable for the position you must have;

• Experience as a Planning Manager or Senior Planning Engineer in the rail / civil infrastructure sector.
• Competent in project management software - Primavera Version 6+
• Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis
• Experience working on Railway Depot or Station upgrade projects would be desirable
• An excellent knowledge in applying planning software to create clear, comprehensible and realistic programmes.
• An Engineering bias and understanding
• Hold a degree in a relevent subject (civil / structural engineering)

As Planning Manager you will:

• Lead the Planning team to provide planning support for all aspects of the project planning Provide coordinated planning strategies for the project
• Provide programmes as required for pre-construction and construction activities
• Produce and monitor programme and planning activities
• Provide planning direction, training and support to key members of the project team
• Anticipate opportunities for risks in advance and advise on options to resolve
• Produce tender programmes compliant with ITT, tender sum, design (where appropriate), assurance, and methodology agreed with suppliers and bid teams
• Produce other programme tender deliverables as required by bid team
• Deliver presentation of tender programme to both Internal and external customers.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum negotiable dependant on level plus
