Current Opportunity: Health and Safety Engagement Coordinator

Based at Fort Dunlop – this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.
Role description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Health and Safety Engagement Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone eager to start a career in health and safety, focusing on engaging employees and promoting a culture of safety within BBV. will assist in developing and implementing initiatives to enhance health and safety awareness and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating and delivering health and safety engagement programs and campaigns.
• Support the development of communication materials, such as newsletters, posters, and digital content, to promote health and safety.
• Participate in organising health and safety events, workshops, and training sessions.
• Help conduct surveys and gather feedback to assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure health and safety messages are effectively communicated.
• Maintain records of engagement activities and track participation and outcomes.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in health and safety engagement.
• Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Engagement Manager as needed.
Essential Experience:
• A strong interest in health and safety and a passion for promoting a safe work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging content.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
