We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to work for our client, a major Tier 1 Contractor on a large sized rail/civil engineering scheme based in West Yorkshire.

As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring civil engineering and construction projects meet regulatory standards, specifications, and client requirements. They lead project audits, develop quality procedures, manage assurance documentation, and support progressive handover.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implementing company management systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards (such as ISO 9001).

Auditing: Conducting internal audits and reviewing the quality systems of subcontractors and suppliers.

Project Delivery: Influencing project teams and supply chains to identify early solutions, prevent non-conformances, and drive successful handovers.

Reporting & Improvement: Reporting monthly on project status, lessons learned, and continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

Direct Experience: Proven background in planning, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems on construction sites

.Professional Body: Membership (or working towards membership) of a related professional body (e.g., CQI, ICE).

Soft Skills: Strong communication, coaching abilities, and proficiency in digital construction applications.
