Business Development Strategy & Implementation Lead
Location Chippenham | 6-Month Full-Time Contract initially
Pay Rate I 400 - 500/day DOE I Out of Scope
Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for turning ideas into scalable outcomes? We're looking for a Business Development Strategy & Implementation Lead to shape and deliver a repeatable business development process for entering new markets and introducing innovative technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Business Development Manager
- Design and implement a structured, repeatable BD process for new market and technology entry
- Lead in-flight initiatives, bringing clarity and momentum to ongoing projects
- Create strategic frameworks, templates, and tools for market analysis, go-to-market planning, and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with BD and cross-functional teams to ensure processes are practical and add real value
- Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders and surface insights
- Track, measure, and improve the effectiveness of the BD process
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership

- Delivery of clear, actionable strategies backed by solid evidence and insight
- Positive executive feedback on the quality and value of strategies developed
- Widespread adoption of the new process by the BD team

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in business development, strategy, or commercial innovation
- Strong grasp of market analysis, technology trends, and go-to-market execution
- Confidence leading cross-functional initiatives and driving implementation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated or infrastructure-heavy industries (e.g., transport, energy, telecoms)
- Familiarity with innovation frameworks like Lean Startup, Stage-Gate, or Design Thinking
- Exposure to digital transformation or AI-driven technologies
