Role and Responsibilities

- Produce deliverables in accordance with client and governance requirements for railway operational telecoms

- Design of Telecoms projects to deliver to defined timescales including fibre, copper and transmission

- Create Telecoms designs and documentation at a consistent and acceptable level of quality

- work closely with Design manager to support them with all appropriate design tasks

- Undertake site visits for survey tasks where appropraite

- Assist the CRE by liaising with principal contractors and 3rd party contractors to provide support where needed.

Essential Skills

- Experience of delivering operational telecoms design as part of multi- disciplinary rail systems projects; FTN, Copper, Fibre, Tranmission

- Understanding of the systems interfaces between Telecoms and other disciplines, such as Signalling, E&P and Civils

Desired Skills

- Experience of SISS design

- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
