Senior O&M Expert (Rail) - MENA Region

EWI are supporting a leading consultancy firm specialising in the development and management of prestigious rail projects across the MENA region, who are currently seeking a Senior O&M Expert to join their team and lead the operation and maintenance activities for a high-speed rail project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the general consultant's activities related to the operation and maintenance of the high-speed line.
• Act as an Operation and Maintenance expert within the consultant team, advising on the Operability and Maintainability of various sub-systems including E&M, Signaling, Track, Civil work, Rolling stock, Communication, and External stakeholders.
• Review operational and maintenance submissions from contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Evaluate operation and maintenance plans to ensure the system's suitability for passenger service.
• Manage relations with the O&M contractor and interface with the construction contractor to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide regular reports during design progress meetings, highlighting compliance and deviations from the contract.
• Oversee pre-operation test activities and ensure all prerequisites for revenue service are met.
• Organise workshops and meetings with contractors to identify gaps, challenge solutions, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of overall experience.
• 3 years of experience in management and implementation of similar transport infrastructure projects, preferably in a similar position.
• At least one High-Speed Rail (HSR) project is required.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Regional experience is preferred
