OCS Project Manager - Alberta, Canada
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of Overhead Catenary Systems for a major light rail transit project in Edmonton. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of the OCS scope from design and procurement to construction, testing, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the OCS work package, ensuring timely delivery within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate design activities with construction requirements.
- Oversee procurement, site teams, equipment, and materials.
- Lead construction planning and supervise field engineers.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and report on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with scheduling teams to integrate OCS activities into the overall project timeline.
- Ensure all work meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (electrical, civil, or mechanical preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including leadership on at least two large OCS projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of OCS systems and components.
- Experience with LRT or tramway OCS construction.
- Skilled in project planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
