Rail Project Manager - GCC

My client is a leading global engineering and infrastructure company specializing in the design, construction, and management of large-scale transportation projects. With a strong presence in the GCC Region, they are committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that transform the way people travel. Their projects range from highways and airports to rail systems, contributing to the region's growth and development.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join the team and lead a major rail project in the GCC Region. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the project from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction to the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals, objectives, and milestones.
• Develop and execute project plans, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion and delivery.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster effective communication and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and authorities involved in the project.
• Prepare regular progress reports and present project updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• 10-15 years' experience in the transportation industry
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the rail industry, with a strong background in civils/structures/alignment.
• In-depth knowledge of rail project management methodologies, processes, and industry best practices.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC Region.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project objectives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and effectively resolve conflicts.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
• Willing to relocate
