SummaryA Principal contractor specialising in railway and civil engineering Is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work alongside a team of experienced Quantity Surveyors and get involved in a range of projects from inception to completion within the Railway Infrastructure sector, working on the Network Rail Reactive &amp; Small Scheme Framework.As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will;<ul><li>Take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of works</li><li>Manage, train and provide support to a dedicated Commercial team, carrying out regular catch ups on their progress</li><li>Provide advice to the Commercial team and Project staff, on Commercial and contractual matters, including reviewing and drafting of correspondence</li><li>Manage and produce formal reports for inclusion in the quarterly Commercial board report</li><li>Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements</li><li>Develop client relationships, achieving a progressive improvement in customer satisfaction</li><li>Oversee and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets</li><li>Develop and monitor the use of cost and financial reporting systems</li><li>Carry out monthly/periodic financial reviews (CVR’s) on portfolio/multiple projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales and margin</li><li>Prepare and submit periodic valuations/application for payments ensuring that Client payment and cash collection is achieved in accordance with the contract</li><li>Identify potential commercial/financial risk and opportunity and evaluate options to mitigate/realise.</li><li>Oversee the procedures and liaise with the supply chain for the procurement, negotiation and placing of sub contract and supplier orders</li><li>Assist with tenders, both in terms of formulating and review</li></ul>Skills / Experience<ul><li>Experience working in a fast passed environment ideally on a reactive framework on similar</li><li>3+ years’ experience working in a Quantity Surveying role in the rail, construction industry,</li><li>A degree in Quantity Surveying - Essential</li><li>Have good communication and client facing skills</li><li>Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised - Essential</li><li>Demonstrate ability to lead a team</li><li>Have a willingness to work towards their APC and become Chartered</li><li>Rail experience – Desirable</li><li>NEC 4 Experience</li><li>RICS/CES - Desirable</li></ul>Salary / Benefits: Salary of Between £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) plus<ul><li>Company Car</li><li>Ad hoc Hybrid working</li><li>days holiday + Statutory Bank Holidays</li><li>Company Sick Pay</li><li>Excellent training &amp; development opportunities,</li><li>Healthcare options</li><li>Company Pension and Death in Service scheme of 2x annual salary</li></ul>Apply now for further details and immediate consideration for this Senior Quantity Surveyor Role.&nbsp;Navartis are an equality and diversity recruitment agent and employer.Service advertised by Navartis are that of an Employment Agency/Business
