Infra/Civil Engineering Expert - Rail Projects | Canada

EWI are supporting a leading international consultancy involved in major rail projects across Canada. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact infrastructure developments in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Role Overview: You'll be working on large-scale rail infrastructure projects, supporting design, construction, and compliance activities. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee civil engineering aspects of rail infrastructure projects (stations, trackwork, earthworks, drainage, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with local and international standards and regulations
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to resolve technical challenges
• Support project planning, risk management, and reporting
• Participate in site inspections and quality assurance processes

Ideal Profile:

• Proven experience in civil engineering within rail or transport infrastructure
• Strong understanding of Canadian engineering standards and project delivery frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• French language skills are a plus but not essential
• Availability for on-site work in Canada or hybrid arrangements depending on project needs

Contract Type:
Freelance/Consulting - competitive daily/hourly rates depending on experience and project scope.
